Ever wondered about the people behind your favorite FiveM scripts? In our latest series we are sitting down with the creators who shape the community.

Meet Robby, the 30-year-old former bartender behind Wasabi Scripts. What started during COVID-19 lockdowns as a passion project for his own server has grown into one of FiveM's most recognized brands, known for the flagship Advanced Ambulance & Police jobs.

1. What's your first name?

Robby

2. Where are you from?

From the USA.

3. How old are you?

30

4. What do you do hobby-wise (outside of FiveM)?

Spend time with family, travel, and some video games of course.

5. What led to you getting into FiveM?

I've always had a passion for virtual communities as well as multiplayer online games. One day during COVID-19 lockdowns, I stumbled upon a FiveM youtuber and the rest is history.

6. What led to you creating scripts/launching a store, how did you get to that point?

After running a small RP server for about a year or so, I had many people requesting scripts I made for my server for their own. I finally decided to take the leap into creating a Tebex store after massive encouragement from my fans/friends.

7. Were you a developer prior to FiveM? If so, what did you do and if not, how did you learn?

I was a professional bartender before FiveM. I've had a natural talent for basic programming stemming from the young age of 9 or 10.

8. What or who influenced you in the beginning, if anything/anyone?

The massive support received with each release and update was a massive motivator. As well as the freedom of spending time with my family and children.

9. What is your favorite script/product you've created so far and/or what did you enjoy creating the most and why?

I think Wasabi Advanced Car Lock is my favorite simply because it was the script that started the original series of Wasabi Scripts' brand.

10. What steps did you take to build your name/brand in the beginning, if any?

Many steps were taken, but I think the most important one was focusing on getting my scripts to as many servers as possible and less focus on revenues or money.

11. What's your best selling script/product and why do you think it became your best seller?

I have a couple packages that are very close in performance of sales but I believe my Ambulance Job and Loading Screen are the best sellers. I believe they are the best sellers for two different reasons. The loading screen because it's standalone, sleek, comes with a video, and very affordable. The Advanced Ambulance Job because it's our flagship and one we have been known for years of updates/innovations.

12. On the opposite side, what's the worst selling script/product and why do you think that is?

Our worst selling script is without a doubt the "Paleto Bank Robbery". I truly believe this is only due to lack of promotion, and lack of popularity to that area of the map.

13. Do you offer refunds to customers? If so, why? And if not, why?

We keep a no-refund policy to keep things simple and clear in regards to the digital nature of the products. HOWEVER, anyone who has ever had an understandable mistake or misconception has received either a refund or comparable compensation.

14. If you had to name the single greatest mistake you made, what was it and why?

Many mistakes have been made but none more great than another. I feel the greatest mistakes are the ones we learn the most from.

15. How do you come up with new ideas for a script/product?

Customers and members of our community.

16. What tools, programs, platforms or workflows are essential to your development process?

A good IDE application (Cursor/VSCode), a creative mind, and the ability to understand general programming.

17. With GTA6 on the horizon, how do you think it will impact FiveM?

I can't speak directly on the impact GTA6 will have, but I don't think it will be drastic upon release. I also believe there will be a place for us still in the space of user generated content.

18. What other FiveM creators, if any, do you think are underappreciated or just not noticed enough right now?

ZSX is a great brand with a couple UI based products with more to come.

19. What suggestions, if any, do you have for others considering launching a FiveM store of their own?

Be original, be creative, and don't take decline any constructive criticism.

20. Let's imagine someone launched a FiveM store and is gaining no traction, what advice would you give them?

Stay persistent. You can't strike success if you give up.

21. And lastly, do you have any info you'd like to share about anything you might be working on now or coming out with in the future?

Many new things including innovative changes to our pre-existing collection of packages!

Thank you to Robby for sharing your journey with us! From professional bartender to running a successful FiveM brand, his focus on community impact and persistence offers valuable lessons for aspiring creators. With innovative updates on the horizon, Wasabi Scripts continues to be a staple in the FiveM community.
